Responsible Gaming at PariPesa Rwanda

Our Commitment

At PariPesa Rwanda, betting and casino gaming should always be a form of entertainment — never a way to make money or escape from problems. We are committed to providing a safe, fair, and transparent environment, and to helping our players stay in control of their gambling.

Responsible gaming is a core part of how we operate. In line with Rwanda’s national gambling framework and the standards set by the Rwanda Development Board (RDB), we provide tools, information, and support to help every player make informed choices and keep gambling fun.

Strictly 18+

You must be at least 18 years old to register an account, deposit, or place any bet with PariPesa Rwanda. Underage gambling is illegal and strictly prohibited.

To protect minors, we apply Know Your Customer (KYC) and age-verification checks, and we may request identity documents at any time. Any account found to belong to a person under 18 will be closed and any winnings voided.

If you share your device with children or young people, we strongly recommend that you:

  • Never leave your account logged in on a shared device.
  • Keep your login details, PIN, and passwords private.
  • Use parental control and website-blocking software (for example, the free tool BetBlocker, or Gamban) to prevent access to gambling sites.

What Responsible Gaming Means

Responsible gaming means keeping control over how much time and money you spend, and recognising that the odds always favour the operator over the long run. To keep your play healthy, follow a few simple principles:

  • Only gamble with money you can afford to lose. Never use funds meant for rent, food, bills, or family needs.
  • Set a budget before you play — and stick to it.
  • See it as entertainment, not as income or a solution to financial problems.
  • Never chase losses. Trying to win back money you have lost usually leads to bigger losses.
  • Don’t gamble when you are stressed, upset, or under the influence of alcohol.
  • Take regular breaks and balance gambling with other activities.

Tools to Help You Stay in Control

We give every player practical tools to manage their activity. You can set these up in your account settings, or contact our support team for help:

  • Deposit Limits — cap how much you can deposit per day, week, or month.
  • Bet & Loss Limits — control how much you can stake or lose over a chosen period.
  • Session Time Limits & Reality Checks — set reminders that show how long you have been playing.
  • Take a Break (Time-Out) — temporarily suspend your account for a short cooling-off period (for example, 24 hours up to several weeks).
  • Self-Exclusion — block yourself from your account for a longer fixed period (months or more) when you need to step away completely.
  • Account Closure — permanently close your account at any time.

Once a self-exclusion or time-out is active, it cannot be reversed before the chosen period ends. During this time, we will also aim to stop sending you promotional messages.

To set up any of these tools, log in and visit your account settings, or reach out to our support team via WhatsApp, phone, or email.

Could Gambling Be Becoming a Problem? A Quick Self-Check

Ask yourself honestly:

  1. Do you bet more money or time than you intended?
  2. Have you tried to win back money you lost by gambling more?
  3. Have you borrowed money, sold things, or skipped bills to gamble?
  4. Do you lie to family or friends about how much you gamble?
  5. Do you feel restless, anxious, or irritable when you try to cut down?
  6. Has gambling affected your work, studies, sleep, or relationships?

If you answered “yes” to one or more of these questions, it may be time to slow down, use the control tools above, or seek support. There is no shame in asking for help — the earlier you act, the easier it is.

Warning Signs of Problem Gambling

Problem gambling can affect anyone. Common warning signs include:

  • Spending more money or time on gambling than planned.
  • Feeling unable to stop or cut back.
  • Neglecting work, school, or family responsibilities.
  • Hiding gambling activity from others.
  • Borrowing money or falling into debt to keep gambling.
  • Feeling anxious, guilty, or depressed about gambling.

If these sound familiar — for you or someone close to you — please consider reaching out for support.

Where to Get Help

If you feel your gambling is no longer under control, help is available:

  • Talk to us. Our support team can help you set limits, take a break, or self-exclude. Contact us via WhatsApp, phone, or email — see the Contact / About Us page.
  • Speak to a health professional. In Rwanda, you can talk to your doctor or a qualified mental-health professional, who can advise you or refer you to counselling and support services.
  • Confide in someone you trust. Sharing the issue with family or a close friend is often an important first step.
  • International support organisations. Free, confidential information and self-help resources are available from reputable bodies such as BeGambleAware (begambleaware.org), GamCare (gamcare.org.uk), and Gamblers Anonymous (gamblersanonymous.org). While based abroad, their online tools, advice, and self-assessment resources are accessible from Rwanda.

You can also limit your own access immediately using free blocking software such as BetBlocker or Gamban.

A Final Word

PariPesa Rwanda wants you to enjoy our platform responsibly. Set your limits, play within your budget, and never let gambling interfere with the things that matter most. If it ever stops being fun, take a break — we will support you every step of the way.
